Plett nominated for Africa’s leading beach destination
Plettenberg Bay have been nominated as Africa’s leading beach destination for the 13th time in the World Travel awards. In the year 2020 Plettenberg Bay was crowned for the first time.
Plettenberg Bay boasts with 6 international blue flag beaches.
In an interview with Plett tourism chief executive Patty Butterworth says “Surrounded by the Garden Route National Park and marine protected areas, two Cape Nature reserve, a large colony of Cape fur seals on Robberg, vibrand soft coral reefs for scuba diving, and a variety of birding habitatsto enjoy, it makes sense that, in addition being chosen as a front runner for Africa’s leading beach destination, Plett is also positioned as a sustainable conservation, research and nature hub”
