Shark activity along Plettenberg Bay coast

During a routine exercise on Wednesday evening, 18th May 2022 the NSRI Plettenberg Bay duty crew came across a great white shark of approximate 3.5 metres long in the Keurbooms Rivier, about 300 metres from the Keurboomsriver mouth – although unusual to find sharks in the river, there tend to be a increase of shark activity during the cooler months along the Plettenberg Bay coast.
